RBM T08 Tempering Valve
The tempering valve is designed to keep the outlet conditions of the mixed water stable, even if the inlet conditions vary. In hot water production systems with storage, so as not to accelerate development and growth of legionella, the hot water must be stored at a temperature of at least 60°C; at this temperature the bacteria can neither survive nor reproduce.
At such a high temperature though the hot water is not useable as it could cause scalds, therefore a tempering valve has to be installed that can reduce the temperature of the water at the point of use and at the same time maintain this value stable if the inlet conditions change. T08 Tempering valves have been designed for a very accurate and quick regulation of the hot water temperature at the point of use in low pressure systems that do not have other regulation devices.
