The new $42m Baillie Henderson Day Surgery Hospital will support the regions growing population
The Queensland Government has invested $42 million to delivery the new Baillie Henderson Day Surgery Hospital which will also be home to the new Toowoomba Hospital.
Hutchinson Builders were selected to complete the construction of the new day surgery which features two state of the art operating theatres. It will also include recovery and discharge spaces and waiting rooms for friends and families.
The proposed new Toowoomba Hospital will bring world-class, innovative health care to the Darling Downs region.
It will also deliver expanded services to cater for the region’s growing population and create an environment that promotes wellbeing while setting the hospital up for a sustainable future.
Statistics show that Toowoomba’s ageing population will result in an increased demand on health services, with 21% of the region expected to be over 65 by 2036 (compared to 19% in 2018.)
RBM Systems were engaged by our supply partner Oceania Solutions Group, to provide all hydronic heating equipment and Grundfos close-coupled pumps with seismic spring mounts. Three flanged air & dirt separators were supplied for the heating and chilled water system to ensure efficient plant operation and reduced on-going maintenance.
This is one of many hospital projects that RBM has been successfully involved with in the 2023 calendar year.
