RBM T16 Thermostatic Mixing Valve tailored for solar hot water systems
The RBM thermostatic mixer valve for solar systems is designed to keep the outlet conditions of the mixed water stable, even if the inlet conditions vary. In hot water production systems with solar storage, the temperature of the water in the storage tank can vary greatly depending on radiation and on the amount required by the users. For example, in the summer months it can reach temperatures higher than 95°C before the safety discharge valve is triggered.
The water is in fact not useable at these temperatures; for this reason thermostatic mixers are installed at the outlet of the solar hot water storage tank in order to reduce the temperature of the water flowing to the users by mixing it with cold water from the mains water supply. The RBM T16 thermostatic mixers have been designed to withstand hot water input temperatures up to 100°C, even for a long period of time, without compromising their performances.
